Peterborough teaching school goes to the top of the class

Teach East is a partnership of 29 schools located in and around Peterborough that provides school-centred initial teacher training (SCITT) to aspiring teachers.

Ofsted inspectors observed the teaching of 12 of the 29 trainee teachers in seven schools during the inspection in May. They also met with mentors, headteachers, course directors and members of the partnership executive group.

If you cast your minds back to July and your initial induction with us to Teacher Training, you may remember that we said to you that this year would be rewarding, hard work and, at times, stressful. I’m sure you’d all agree that we were pretty spot on with all three!

EAL Training Friday 18th November

On Friday we will have the EAL Academy coming in to deliver training to all trainees about the importance of preparing for and considering the needs of those who have English as an additional language. They are a national organisation who deliver hands on, practical training and went down a storm with trainees in previous years.
